To assure the complete renovation of the abbey and to preserve the noble character of the site, Bernard TEILLAUD called on the services of the architect Jean-Michel WILMOTTE. His brief was to give the chateau a new spatial distribution interior of the whilst respecting the constraints of history.
A wonderful line of old plane trees leads to the park, where an enormous pond collects the spring water. At the water's edge the giant roots of redwood trees are nourished by the spring water cascading down into the pond. In front of the chateau's façade stand two imposing plane trees from the 18th century and an oval fountain surrounded by boxwood hedges in the typical French garden style.
